Kim Beavis Sanderson is a New Media Artist, and Tradigital Animator. They explore queer themes, and expressions, and the world around them. Using their art to further discussions in an inclusive interactive environment. Kim creates Augmented Reality Animations to tell their stories, beyond the medium.
Kim's background is in Computer Aided-Design, Computer Animation, Illustration, and Graphic Art.
They grew up and currently live in Canada. They own a Creative Studio (Beofor Studios Inc.), and have a Commercial Studio in the Commerce Building in downtown PTBO/NOGO, Studio 3. They can be seen at First Friday events throughout the year in Nogojiwanong/Peterborough, and have participated since 2018, The Erring at King George Festival 2022, Toronto Animated Image Society Showcase 2017, 2023, and the Art Gallery of Peterborough, Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour 2024. In February 2025 they exhibited at Arts Etobicoke, Reframing Reality, Art in the Digital Age. Kim also instructs locally to high schools through the SHSM, Arts & Culture program, they run workshops focusing on technology, computer animation and art. When not in the studio Kim can be found at the local rink playing hockey. The Synthesis of Art and Technology. Life is Motion.
